Super Typhoon Mangkhut hits China's Guangdong province

Super TyphoonMangkhut slammed into China's southern Guangdong province yesterday evening,killing two persons and forcing evacuation of over 24 lakh people.

The typhoonmade a landfall into the coast of Jiangmen city in Guangdong province yesterdayevening packing winds up to 162 km per hour after leaving a trail ofdestruction in Hong Kong and killed at least 64 people in the Philippines.

Statebroadcaster CGTN reported that two people were killed in Guangdong provincewhich is located close to Hong -Kong where over 200 people were injured.

Earlier, morethan 400 flights at two airports in China's southernmost island Province ofHainan were cancelled and all coastal resorts and schools were closed. (AIR NEWS) ()
